Receive the Landlord OK certification

Huurteam Utrecht aims to bring the rental price of private rental properties  in particular communal dwellings for students, in line with the rental price legislation.

Huurteam Utrecht is an independent organization commissioned by the municipality of Utrecht. 

Private landlords of communal dwellings or private units located in the city of Utrecht that meet the required conditions can apply for the Landlord OK certification. With this certification landlords can distinguish themselves positively from other landlords. Landlords who receive the certification  will be mentioned on the website of Huurteam Utrecht.

Conditions:

You are eligible for the certification if you meet the following criteria:

• The rent price of accommodations does not exceed the maximum rent price according to the housing valuation system.
• The specification of the rental price should be added to the rental agreement.
• The rental contract does not have any provisions that are contrary to the statutory rules of the central government;
• The annual rent increase is in accordance with the statutory rules of the National Government;
• The service costs will be settled within half a year after the end of the year, in accordance with the statutory rules of the national government
• The landlord rents out the accommodation according to the criteria of ‘Good rental management’
